Random Thought #107

God’s an artist. He likes to show off. If you look at His work, though, He has all the right to show off. Those 4 pictures I posted are just 4 examples of what He’s created. Simply put, His work is awe-inspiring, glorious, beautiful, etc.

You know what the most amazing thing about all this is? He calls us His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10). Among all of His creations, ranging from the entire universe to the smallest atom that form so much aesthetic pleasure within our hearts and minds, he calls us, lowly, unworthy humans, His masterpiece.

Masterpiece - An artist’s or craftsman’s best piece of work (Apple dictionary, definition 2.)

We, of all things beautiful, are His greatest work. That’s ridiculous, isn’t it? And, because we are His greatest work, He loves us to an extent we can’t even imagine. His love for us is beyond the love a child receives from his/her parents. Absolutely amazing.

Even though this unbelievable fact unmistakably exists, we still manage to forget all about it sometimes. 

Let’s remember this fact. Let’s hold this fact in our hearts, always. Like the Prodigal Son’s father, God is waiting for us with open arms to return to Him. Let’s return to our Father in heaven. Let’s declare His majesty, glory, and greatness with all the rest of the universe. Let’s go through the transformation that we are called to undergo.
